Day One. You will be picked up at home and transferred to Dundee to board Ambition. Perhaps explore the ship before the evening departure.

Day Two. Relax and take in the sea air as your ship sails towards the Faroe Islands. Enjoy daytime activities such as quizzes, games and various classes or relax in the Green Sea Spa. Tuck into delicious cuisine then settle down for top notch entertainment.

Day Three. Ambition sails into the seaside town of Runavik on the Faroe Islands. Here, your ship docks just a few minutes from the main street with nature attractions and pretty villages within easy reach. Runavik is connected to the town of Strendur and to the island capital, Torshavn via an undersea tunnel with the world’s first undersea roundabout!

Day Four. Enjoy the sea air as Ambition sails towards Greenland. 

Day Five. Ambition arrives in the vicinity of Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland for the solar eclipse. Watch awestruck as the moon covers the sun, revealing the sun’s outer atmosphere with a corona effect in a wondrous display. As the sky darkens, the stars and planets become visible, creating an otherworldly setting†.

Day Six. Another day at sea enjoying Ambition’s fabulous facilities.

Day Seven. Ambition sails into Iceland’s capital of Reykjavik. Perhaps visit Hallgrimskirkja Church, the city’s cathedrals, or view artefacts from 10th century Vikings at the Settlement Exhibition. Maybe head to the Blue Lagoon to have a soak
in its geothermal waters.

Day Eight. We arrive at Grundarfjordur††, a delightful Icelandic village, backed by majestic mountains. Wander around the harbour or discover the craggy, windswept splendour of the surroundings fjords.

Day Nine. At sea, enjoying Ambition’s excellent facilities.

Day Ten. Iceland’s Seydisfjordur today, a traditional village with colourful houses and a rainbow path leading to its landmark pale-blue church. It lies beautifully tucked into the corner of a fjord, enveloped by mountains and waterfalls.

Days Eleven. At sea, enjoying Ambition’s excellent facilities. 

Day Twelve. Ambition glides into Lerwick, county town of the Shetland Islands. Perhaps follow the Lerwick Explorer tourist walking route through the old part of town and harbour then onwards to the well-preserved broch – a type of stone-built house only found in Scotland.

Day Thirteen. Enjoy your final day at sea aboard Ambition.

Day Fourteen. Morning arrival in Dundee - your transfer vehicle will be waiting to take you home after a splendid adventure.
