St Annes is the quintessential seaside resort with sand dunes, Victorian pleasure pier, boating lakes, a traditional esplanade and manicured gardens. Our base is the resort’s Inn on the Prom, which stands on the promenade and has a furnished sun terrace with stunning views across the beach and Irish Sea. During our stay, we enjoy a guided tour of the town’s Grade I listed Lytham Hall, a grandiose Georgian mansion which houses fine art and furnishings and stands in manicured gardens. We also spend a day in Liverpool, home to Albert Dock where you can step back to the 1960s and discover how four young Liverpool lads were thrust to the dizzying heights of fame at The Beatles Story, or perhaps catch the ferry across the Mersey.
