A special treasure on this delightfully varied holiday will be our cruise along the River Bure aboard the Southern Comfort Mississippi Paddle Boat. This luxury, double deck paddle boat was purpose built for the Broads and the sailing is enhanced by fascinating commentary. This magical day continues with free time in Wroxham, then it’s all aboard a Bure Valley Railway carriage for a nostalgic steam train ride, following the meandering River Bure through ancient meadowland. For a change of wonderful scenery, we spend another day in eyecatching Norwich, home to a Norman castle that was founded by William the Conqueror, as well as a medley of medieval lanes, Tudor dwellings and antique shops. Perhaps visit English Heritage’s Plantation Garden and don’t miss the grand cathedral. The landscape changes again to beaches and promenades as we visit Cromer, a picturesque coastal town where you’ll find one of Banksy’s ‘Great British Spraycation’ artworks on its sea wall, showing a group of hermit crabs. We also visit Victorian Sheringham, a former fishing village and now an enchanting resort with friendly tea rooms.
