Day One. We head to our ferry to the continent enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.
Day Two. We make our way to magical Vianden where the afternoon is free for sightseeing.
Day Three. Today we head to Luxembourg City for a guided walking tour of this stylish metropolis. Fascinating points of interest include the impressive Palais-Grand Ducal and the atmospheric Bock Casemates – a honeycomb of 17th century passages.
Day Four. We head along the banks of the Moselle to pretty Remich. Known as the Pearl of the Moselle, this tourist resort features winding lanes and a tree-lined promenade along the riverbank. We continue through the breathtaking Mullertahl region to Echternach, the oldest town in Luxembourg with two thousand years of history.
Day Five. A day at leisure to enjoy Vianden. Perhaps catch the chairlift taking you up and over the River Our to enjoy stunning views of the valley. Don’t miss the castle, constructed on the foundations of a Roman fort, it is one of the largest and most beautiful residences from the gothic and Romanesque periods. Once the seat of the influential Counts of Vianden, inside this enchanted fortress you’ll find intriguing relics like middle-ages stocks, sumptuous bedrooms with four poster beds, lavish banqueting halls and an opulent chapel.
Day Six. We depart late morning and travel to our ferry back to the UK with dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.
Day Seven. We continue home.
