Rhyl is located at the mouth of the River Clwyd and boasts miles of sandy beaches along with a pleasant promenade and a little land train to whisk tourists about. The resort is home to the Sky Tower rotating viewpoint, award-winning botanical gardens, a museum and a miniature railway that circles the boating lake. We take in the walled city of Chester where attractions include a beautiful cathedral, Roman amphitheatre and thirteenth century half timbered shops. On another day we head to Llangollen on the banks of the River Dee for some time to look around before we journey into the mountains and along the breathtaking Horseshoe Pass. Our base is the Westminster Hotel, centrally located overlooking the beach in Rhyl and we also spend a morning in lovely Llandudno.
This classic good value hotel is perfectly located overlooking the beach. Rhyl promenade and the White Rose Shopping Centre are just metres away.
