Indulge in the finer things in life with a stay aboard a luxury yacht in cosmopolitan London then unwind in style at an exceptional former Victorian manor on the breathtaking Norfolk coast. Look forward to a sightseeing cruise from Westminster to the Thames Barrier aboard the London Showboat, tucking into a delicious dinner before dancing to live music from West End shows. The Royal Albert Hall is one of London’s most iconic music venues and we enjoy a guided tour of this glorious landmark before hopping aboard a vintage bus for afternoon tea as we roll through the heart of the city. From the hustle and bustle of our exciting capital we shift down a gear as we move on to seaside Old Hunstanton. From this coastal haven we are treated to a visit to sumptuous Sandringham where we get a peek behind the scenes of royal life. Final gems on this holiday jewel are visits to Wells-next-the-sea with a ride on the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway and our farewell lunch at Doddington Hall and Gardens – the perfect finale to our outstanding flagship tour.
Day One. Our adventure begins with a light lunch at the four star Marriott Hotel Leicester, giving us a chance to get acquainted with our fellow travellers. We continue south, arriving at the stunning Sunborn Yacht mid afternoon. Settle in to your comfortable bedroom then perhaps take in the cityscape from the deck of this splendid vessel. An unforgettable evening is in store as we board the London Showboat for a sightseeing sail on the Thames feasting our eyes on world famous sights, illuminated against the night sky. We are welcomed aboard with a glass of sparkling wine before taking our seats for a four-course dinner washed down with a half bottle of wine per person. Enjoy live cabaret performing showstoppers from the West End – perhaps take to the dance floor.
Day Two. Look forward to a guided tour of the Royal Albert Hall exploring the auditorium where superstars from around the globe have performed and hearing tales of this beautiful building’s history. Our next city sensation is afternoon tea on a nostalgic London Red Bus passing tourist magnets as we sip tea and tuck into tempting sandwiches, cakes and scones. After our sightseeing circuit we make our way to the Le Strange Arms Hotel in Old Hunstanton. Relax and unwind before our sparkling wine reception followed by a delicious dinner.
Day Three. We visit Sandringham where the grand house stands proudly in acres of glorious grounds and has been the country retreat for four generations of British monarchs. The main ground floor rooms of this nineteenth century mansion feature decor and contents as they were in Edwardian times. Outside, the museum houses vintage vehicles while the sumptuous gardens are a delight to explore. We include lunch followed by free time to perhaps call at the visitor centre and gift shop. From here we head to the coast and spend time at Wells-next-the-Sea, a beautiful seaside town, and take a trip on the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway, before returning to the hotel.
Day Four. Breakfast before we journey to Doddington Hall and Gardens. Here we take in a tour of the formal grounds. We enjoy a tasty lunch then fond farewells before continuing home.
