Laid back Jersey features quaint winding streets, a breathtaking coastline, leafy country lanes, history at every turn, pristine beaches and welcoming hospitality – and our familiarisation tour will get your sightseeing off to a great start. The island capital of St Helier is a bustling town where many of the old French street names survive yet it offers a thoroughly modern shopping experience. Among its highlights are the Central Market, dating from 1882 and the island’s parliament which sits in the States Chamber in the Royal Square. Catch the road train from Liberation Square and see the sights or hop on the bus to Jersey Lavender. Or perhaps head to Durrell Wildlife Zoo where you can see some of the planet’s most endangered species.
Your Holiday Itinerary
Day One. We head south for our overnight stay in the south of England.
Day Two. We make our way to the Condor Fast Ferry Terminal for our crossing to Jersey where we check in for our five night stay.
Day Three. After breakfast, we are collected from the hotel to enjoy a familiarisation tour of the island taking in sights such as Corbiere Lighthouse, St Brelade Bay, La Rocque, Gorey Harbour and Greve de Lecq.
Day Four. As there is so much to see and do on gorgeous Jersey we have set aside today so you can explore some more or enjoy the fabulous facilities at your hotel.
Day Five. After breakfast we take a short drive to the Jersey War Tunnels that stand testament to five years of occupation and the cruelty of the Nazis. Experience history as you follow the passageways coming face to face with tanks, a macabre operating theatre, air raid shelter, telephone exchange, hospital ward and the scenes of Liberation Day as well as getting a taste of life in Jersey during the years leading up to the outbreak of war.
Day Six. A free day to do some last minute shopping or perhaps relax on the beach.
Day Seven. Time to bid farewell as we head for our return fast ferry to the mainland where your coach will be waiting to take you to your overnight hotel in the south of England.
Day Eight. After breakfast, we journey home.
Please note that we are unable to take our coach to the Channel Islands, our journey to Jersey will be as a footpassenger. We will be met in Jersey by a local representative and transferred to our hotel. For security reasons, you will be responsible for transferring your own luggage on and off the ferry.
