All aboard for a nostalgic steam locomotive ride along Scotland’s glorious west coast. Regarded as one of the great train journeys of the world, the thundering Jacobite Steam Train puffs its way through breathtaking countryside, past sleepy villages and rumbles over the multi-arched Glenfinnan Viaduct – a landmark recognisable from the Harry Potter movies. We also experience the Treasures of the Earth Exhibition and visit Fort William, a favourite location for the makers of movies such as Braveheart and Highlander. Perhaps call at the town’s museum where you can explore eight rooms packed with fascinating objects from Rob Roy’s sporran to bagpipes played at Bannockburn in 1314.
