Here at GLENTON and GLENTON PALMER we regularly visit the hotels we feature in our brochures. What’s more, we’re always on the lookout for tempting new properties so we can offer our valued customers an even greater choice. It’s essential to know that the hotels we use provide the facilities our customers want and need but also that they deliver the high standards we – and more importantly – you, expect. So, bag packed, I trotted off to eastbourne on england’s southeast coast to do some hotel inspecting. eastbourne oozes charm with a timeless seafront bordered by period architecture dating from the town’s beginnings as a Victorian resort. Graceful and unspoilt, it is home to the famous Carpet Gardens and boasts award-winning beaches, a traditional bandstand and its historic old town blends seamlessly with a modern marina. Wander along the level promenade or hop aboard the seafront train for a fun way to see the sights. Perhaps make your way to eastbourne Pier where you can step back in time and enjoy afternoon tea in refined splendour. So where should you stay when you visit eastbourne? White gloves and notebook at the ready, it was time to check out some hotels!
The Imperial hotel used by both GLENTON and GLENTON PALMER was first on my list. It’s a traditional coaching hotel, with nice friendly staff, a superb entertainment programme and a happy ambiance.
The View hotel, used by GLENTON PALMER, is a modern property which, as the name suggests, boasts stunning vistas. this is a lovely hotel with impressive public areas and well-equipped bedrooms.
New Wilmington Hotel
A firm favourite with GLENTON guests – this cosy hotel had one of the most extensive dinner menu’s I’ve seen in ages.
Britannia Cavendish Hotel
I stayed at the Cavendish hotel which GLENTON PALMER has used for twenty years. It’s in a super location and enjoys great sea views from its stylish lounge and light airy restaurant. I was shown around the public areas and several bedrooms. there have been some changes since my last visit and I was more than satisfied that the hotel offers good standards of accommodation and service.
