This intriguing holiday of contrasts is based at the comfortable Headway Hotel, perched on the seafront in the traditional seaside resort of Morecambe where you’ll find a statue of comedy legend, Eric Morecambe – the town’s most famous son. Out and about we visit Cumbria Crystal where you can watch the traditional glass making process then browse the factory outlet. From here, we continue to Ulverston for market day. If you don’t fancy bargain hunting, why not visit the town’s Laurel & Hardy Museum – dedicated to the famous comic duo. We also enjoy a morning visit to Lancaster, a city steeped in a thousand years of history and home to a mighty castle with a fascinating museum.
The comfortable Headway Hotel rests on Morecambe’s East Promenade enjoying lovely views over the bay and has a quiet lounge as well as an entertainment venue.
