Overview:

Sunny Eastbourne is home to the famous Carpet Gardens and boasts award-winning beaches, a traditional bandstand and fine architecture. Stroll along the level promenade or hop aboard the seafront train for a fun way to see the sights. We make the most of our time in scintillating Sussex with excursions such as: the market town of Lewes where attractions include a fifteenth century timber-framed townhouse that was once the home of Anne of Cleves. Look forward to exploring the neighbouring coastal resorts of Bexhill-on-Sea, bubbly Brighton - a city by the seaside with a landmark pier and St Leonards-on-Sea, a unique town with a shingle beach. For a change
of pace, on six day holidays, we pop into Tunbridge Wells, an affluent town where   Queen Victoria enjoyed regular holiday sojourns and enjoy a steam train railway.

Your Excursions:

Tunbridge Wells & Bluebell Railway
We enjoy a visit to refined Royal Tunbridge Wells, home to a charming colonnaded walkway lined with pavement cafés, shops and galleries. Later, it’s all aboard our steam train for a nostalgic journey as we step back in time, puffing and rumbling along the Sussex heritage line between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead (six days only).

St Leonards-on-Sea & Bexhill-on-Sea
St Leonards-on-Sea magnet for garden lovers with well laid out parks such as Warrior Square Gardens. Later we call in at Bexhill-on-Sea, a seaside resort with beachfront cafés, gently sloping beach and a wide promenade - the perfect place to laze on a sunny afternoon.

Lewes & Brighton
The historic market town of Lewes is flanked by the chalky South Downs, dominated by an imposing Norman castle and has an abundance of antique shops. After a look around we move on to Brighton where you might like to explore the landmark pier, visit a museum or art gallery or wander the narrow passageways, crammed with exotic shops and cafés.
