Krakow presents an engrossing blend of living history, sophisticated sightseeing and touching tributes. Renowned as the Cultural Capital of Poland, Krakow has been declared a World Heritage Site thanks to its wealth of well-preserved monuments and architecture, remarkably untouched by Second World War bombing. Krakow’s fairytale Old Town features the Royal Route – the historic coronation path of Polish kings when Krakow served as the capital during the Middle Ages. Follow the regal route from the impressive train station to the vast market square - truly an awe-inspiring introduction to any city. Interesting landmarks include the fourteenth century St Mary’s Basilica with its ancient altarpiece known as ‘The Bible of Linden’, the Renaissance Royal Castle and Oskar Schindler’s factory. Krakow also boasts several intriguing museums with amazing artefacts.
